Each spring, homeowners across the country begin frantically cleaning their homes. They walk around making all the necessary repairs and schedule routine maintenance for all of their home systems, they declutter, and they deep clean. The funny thing is, they go to work day after day all year long and never even think to spring clean there. Put your home’s spring cleaning routine in place at work, and you will find the results to be quite beneficial.
Do a Thoruogh Inspection
Walk around your building and take note of anything that needs to be repaired. This could be cracked windows, loose shingles, missing bricks. You also need to pay attention to anything that requires routine maintenance. Gutters and downspouts should be cleaned and things like Donaldson compressed air filters should be replaced. Doing this will keep all systems functioning properly and reduce the risk of them breaking down.
Declutter all Areas
Now is the time to get rid of all clutter. Having the unnecessary junk out of the way will make daily operations much easier. Go through every drawer, cabinet, and closet. Make three piles. One is to be thrown away, one is kept, and the third will be donated. Put the keep items back away in an organized fashion that makes sense.
The best way to clean is to tackle one area at a time. This keeps you from feeling overwhelmed. Scrub everything from top to bottom. Look for cobwebs on the ceiling, scour scuff marks off of the walls, and wash the floors by hand, especially around the perimeter of each room. Wipe everything else off.
